AABB Accreditation
Cell Safe Bank is the first licensed and accredited family cord blood bank in Egypt. By 2015 the bank had grown to house over 1500 cord blood units and had achieved accreditation from AABB.
The American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) is an international, not-for-profit association representing individuals and institutions involved in the fields of transfusion medicine and cellular therapies. The association is committed to improving health through the development and delivery of standards, accreditation, and educational programs that focus on optimizing patient and donor care and safety. AABB membership includes physicians, nurses, scientists, researchers, administrators, medical technologists, and other health care providers.
Ministry of Health and Population (EGYPT)
After five years of continuous work formulating the guidelines to create the concept, regulations as well as a code of ethics which our project and any future ones will follow in order to protect customer rights Finally, in November 2009, the Ministry of Health agreed to grant us the permission to start the first private family banking project in Egypt as an award and in support of the effort undertaken over the past five years.
